Delete your data
If you want to remove specific personal data from your Xendly Biz mobile app or Xendly web account without closing the account itself, this page explains what you can do yourself and how to ask us to handle the rest. Xendly Biz and Xendly are operated by Xendly Corp Ltd.
What you can delete yourself, right now
Most personal data is editable or removable from inside the app. You don't need to email us for any of the following:
- Reviews you've written — Open Settings → My reviews and tap the bin on any row. Anonymous reviews written from this device can be removed from the same place.
- Profile picture — Open Settings → Profile and tap Remove on your avatar.
- Saved delivery address — Open Settings → Profile → Address and clear or replace it.
- Push-notification tokens — Disable notifications in your phone's system settings; the next launch detects the change and drops the token. On the web, log out — push subscriptions are cleared when the session ends.
- Linked sign-in providers (Google etc.) — Open Settings → Profile → Connected accounts and tap Disconnect on any provider you want unlinked.
- Block lists — Open Settings → Blocked users / Blocked businesses to remove anyone you previously muted.
Ask us to delete something specific
If the data you want removed isn't in the list above (for example, a specific order from your history, your stored phone number while you keep the email, or a Backblaze-hosted file linked to your account), email our Privacy Team and we will action it within 30 days.
- Send the request from the email address linked to your Xendly account.
- Tell us what specific data you want deleted (e.g. "my order #ABC123", "all my push tokens", "my saved address but not my profile").
- If you can't email from the linked address, include the email or phone number on your account and a brief proof of ownership (a screenshot of the in-app profile screen is fine).
- We acknowledge within 7 business days and complete the deletion within 30 days of verifying the request.
What we are required to keep, even on request
We can't delete data that the law requires us to keep, or that would erase another party's records (for example, a merchant's accounting records). The following are not deletable on request:
- Financial transaction records — 10 years, as required by Rwandan financial-services and anti-money-laundering regulations.
- Tax-related documentation — 7 years, as required by Rwandan tax regulations.
- Order records that a merchant holds for their own accounting. Your name on those records can be replaced with "Deleted user" on request.
- Security and fraud-prevention logs — up to 1 year, to investigate abuse or chargeback disputes.
